Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty show will close out New York Fashion Week in September.
Rihanna will add a little va-va-voom to New York Fashion Week next month, with the launch of her sexy Savage X Fenty lingerie line.
The Barbadian beauty’s show for her fall 2018 collection will hit the catwalk on the evening of 12 September, 90 minutes after designer Marc Jacobs shows off his latest collection.
The see-now, buy-now format for Rihanna’s show will allow fans to purchase the items as soon as they are modelled on the runway – all the pieces on display will be available for sale on SavageX.com immediately.
The singer also plans to host several future pop-up shops for a “fully immersive experience”, according to a press release sent to bosses at Women’s Wear Daily.
She debuted the Savage x Fenty lingerie collection in May, two years after launching her catwalk career at New York Fashion Week with the unveiling of her first ever Fenty x Puma streetwear collection. She also showed off her designs at 2016’s Paris Fashion Week before returning to the Big Apple in 2017 with her third line for the athletic brand.
But next month she’s going it alone for the first time with her latest undergarments collection.
Fashion experts expect the Work hitmaker, who made her runway entrance riding a motorcycle at her last New York Fashion Week event with Puma, to bring a sexy and entertaining spectacle to the line-up.
New York Fashion Week, which is hosted by The Council of Fashion Designers of America, kicks off on 6 September and ends with Rihanna’s racy runway show.
