Rosanne Cash has announced that her first album in five years, She Remembers Everything, is set to be released on November 2.
The last album from the songwriter came in 2014. The River and the Thread won three Grammy Awards.
She Remembers Everything was recorded in New York and Portland with husband John Leventhal and Tucker Martine.
Cash has also released the first two tracks from the LP, the title track and “Everyone But Me.”
Talking about the songs at a ceremony receiving the “Spirit of Americana” Free Speech Award at Americana Honors and Awards show last week, she described the album as ‘feminine gothic.’
“There is a woman’s real life, complex experiences and layered understanding in these songs. I could not have written them 10 years ago — not even close. Time is shorter, I have more to say”, Cash said.
