Meanwhile Sydney born Johanna, 27, arrived in a comparatively elegant floral gown with a distinctive off-the-shoulder detail.

The British tennis player, beaten by Caroline Wozniacki  at Eastbourne this week, added to her sophisticated look with a simple silver clutch, while her delicately proportioned features were highlighted with soft touches of foundation.

Despite her recent loss, Johanna appeared to be in good spirits as she prepared to let her hair down at the South Bank event.
