Sixth Sense kid all grown up! Haley Joel Osment hits the red carpet

Sixth Sense kid all grown up! Haley Joel Osment hits the red carpet with sister Emily at 2022 SAG Awards… after revealing how his parents helped him from going off the rails

22 years after being nominated for his breakthrough performance in The Sixth Sense, Haley Joel Osment returned to the SAG Awards with his sister Emily.

The 33-year-old actor hit the red carpet with his 29-year-old sister Emily, rocking matching black looks.

The actor also spoke about how his parents Theresa and Michael helped him from ‘going off the rails’ after starting his career at such a young age.

Haley stepped out in a classic black Paul Smith Suit with a black coat, black pants, white dress shirt and a black tie and shiny black dress shoes.

His sister Emily was in black herself, with a strapless black gown with a slit up the leg, diamond necklace and fuzzy black heels.

Haley and Emily’s hit series The Kominsky Method is nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, going up against Hulu’s The Great, HBO Max’s Hacks, Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building and Apple TV Plus’ Ted Lasso.

Haley and Emily also stopped and chatted with E! on the red carpet, opening up to Laverne Cox about how his parents helped keep him grounded as a child star.

‘We both were very fortunate to have wonderful parents who were very skeptical of the industry and did not want us getting involved in anything outside of the work itself,’ Haley said.

‘And for me, it always has been about the work, and that’s why these awards are so special because we’re really proud to be part of this union, as actors honoring other actors,’ he added.

‘With all the distractions that can happen in this industry, for me, it’s always been about the material and the relationships that you forge with other artists and that’s what keeps me going,’ Osment added.

While the Osment siblings are nominated as part of the Ensemble award, their co-star Michael Douglas is also up for Outstanding Performance By a Male Actor in a Comedy Series.

He is going up against Brett Goldstein (Ted Lasso), Steve Martin (Only Murders in the Building), Martin Short (Only Murders in the Building) and Jason Sudeikis (Ted Lasso).

Emily also shared a story about her beloved co-star Michael Douglas from the first season of the show.

‘I remember one of the first days on the first season, we had a scene in the acting class and one of the directors said think where you think you would sit in the acting class and I saw where Michael was sitting and I sat next to him,’ she began.

‘And for three years that became my seat and that was a wonderful conversation in between scenes with Michael I hope he wins,’ she added.
