Stacey Solomon opened up about a painful condition after fans became concerned about her social media absence. The Loose Women panellist apologised for going “missing” as she addressed her health concerns.
Taking to Instagram today, the 32-year-old explained that her breasts became swollen and painful.
It comes as the on-screen star recently welcomed her daughter, Rose, with her partner Joe Swash.
Stacey explained that she has been living with mastitis – a condition that can impact mothers who are breastfeeding.
“Sorry I’ve been so quiet,” said Stacey.
“I got mastitis and felt like my boobs were on fire. It was awful.
“After a few days of antibiotics, I honestly feel like a new person.”
Mastitis is when your breast becomes swollen, hot and painful.
It is an inflammation of breast tissue that sometimes involves an infection and can result in breast pain, swelling, warmth and redness.
