Tori Spelling Promotes Tax Company H&R Block Amid Own Money Woes

Oh, the irony!

Out of all the celebrities in the world, Tori Spelling was chosen to promote tax prep company H&R Block, despite the cash-strapped star’s very own money woes.

The former 90210 star took to Instagram Thursday to share images of herself at the company’s block party in Los Angeles.

“Fun day with my girlfriends and #blockhasyourback,” she captioned one snap tagging @HRBlock.

In a second set, Spelling, 45, poses with neon green cotton candy on a set of purple stairs in front of a big banner with H&R Block’s logo. “Such a fun afternoon with all my girlies at @hrblock pop up block party at @santamonicaplace with @treasuretruck,” she wrote alongside the snap.

As readers know, financially troubled Spelling and her husband Dean McDermott, 51, have endured various money woes.

Just as recently as September 2018, Spelling was ordered to pay up after a company called Cavalry SPV (a company that buys debt) obtained a default judgment against Spelling earlier this month.

The legal papers noted that Spelling, who was originally sued by Citibank, now owed the company $5,043.32.

Readers know Spelling and McDermott were hit with a $220,000 default judgment in a bitter battle against City National Bank over an unpaid $400,000 loan.

The pair reportedly also owed the IRS close to $1 million in taxes last year. The IRS drained the couple’s bank accounts, according to reports.

Meanwhile, Spelling, who raises five kids with McDermott, suffered a public breakdown months ago.
