Travis Barker Sues Over Staph Infection

Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker has filed a lawsuit against a medical imaging center over a staph infection that he contracted during an MRI while technicians attempted to locate a vein to inject him with a sedative.

The drummer claims that technicians stuck him at least 40 times allegedly with a dirty needle, resulting in nerve damage and a staph infection.

In a separate lawsuit, Barker is suing the school bus company and driver of the bus that collided with his SUV in July.

Treating injuries sustained from a bus crash forced the band to cancel all the upcoming tour dates, he alleges in the case.

Blink-182 announced the cancellation earlier this month.

“Trav’s medical team anticipated that he would be well enough by fall to tour but after recent checkups they were not able to clear him in time for the scheduled run of date,” the band said.
