Tunisia manager goes in goal during training and absolutely loves it

Tunisia boss Nabil Maaloul responded to his side’s goalkeeper injury crisis by donning the gloves himself in their final training session before facing Panama.

The 55-year-old – who was a midfielder in his playing days – has seen both Mouez Hassen and Farouk Ben Mustapha ruled out during this tournament, leaving only third-choice Aymen Mathlouthi available.

He has been named in the starting line-up for the Eagles of Carthage’s final Group G game against Panama, but the absence of a second goalkeeper in Thursday’s final training session forced the boss to go between sticks.

And he looked to be loving it.

Tunisia lost both of their matches at the World Cup so far – going down 2-1 to England and then 5-2 to Belgium.

They’ll be seeking their first World Cup victory since 1978 when they take on Panama, Group G’s bottom side, in Saransk.
