Late Florida rapper XXXTentacion vented about death, fame and Donald Trump in a newly released slew of secret jailhouse recordings.
The musician, who was shot dead in June, spoke to a friend on the phone from behind bars in Miami, where he’d been sent for allegedly assaulting a pregnant woman in October 2016, according to recordings obtained by Pitchfork.com.
It was a few weeks before the 2016 presidential election — and the rapper told his pal he wasn’t a fan of Trump, according to the music news publication.
“Once Trump get in, it’s over for all the minorities pretty much,” he said during the call, which was recorded without his knowledge, the outlet reported.
“You gotta realize, that president s–t is real. That’s why n—-s be sayin’ make sure you vote,” he said.
He didn’t want Trump to win because “the lower classes are gonna be f—-d,” he said.
But the alternative wasn’t much better, he admitted.
“Yeah, Hillary’s garbage too,” he said.
In other calls he made at Metro West Detention Center, the rapper raged about a 16-year-old acquaintance who used his phone to post songs without permission, according to Pitchfork.
The boy “needs to get his face f—ed up,” the rapper raged. “If I get out, I’ma catch another charge f—ing him up, bruh.” The boy was then put on the phone, according to Pitchfork.
“Shut the f–k up before I make them slap you and make you suck a d–k on camera,” he said.
Afterward, he ordered a pal to “beat that boy ass.”
In another jailhouse phone call, he boasted about becoming a giant star.
“I found the agent company that Kanye has, A$AP Rocky has, Diplo, Skrillex,” he said. “I’ll dominate the whole country. I’ll be bigger than Drake.”
Meanwhile on Friday, one of the four men accused of murdering XXXTentacion in Deerfield Beach, Michael Boatwright, was found mentally competent by a court-appointed doctor, according to documents obtained by The Blast.
The case against Boatwright will continue, the site reported.
