Stephanie Murray, 27, was working at a friend’s cafe in Canberra on Sunday when she was spotted by a journalist from the Canberra Times.
Now she is receiving worldwide attention as she is dealing with calls from people wanting to take advantage of her almost spot-on resemblance.
‘The story has completely blown up, it’s gone viral which I wasn’t expecting,’ she told FEMAIL.
‘I have people calling me from across the country and I now have representation.’
Stephanie Murray, 27, is receiving worldwide attention due to her uncanny resemblance to Meghan Markle
Stephanie explained that she often had people comment on the similarity, which all started when the American television show, Suits, aired in Australia, which was Meghan’s (pictured) breakthrough role
The madness doesn’t stop there, as television networks are now asking her to do live interviews and even be on a reality show.
‘[The agent] said that this was just the beginning, that the demand for me to appear at events and in mock advertising campaigns in the UK could be huge,’ Stephanie told the Canberra Times.
Since the story broke Stephanie has gone incognito on social media as she decides what she should do next.
The unknown Canberra local is even seeking legal advice so that she makes the most strategic and beneficial decision for her future that could pocket her thousands.
Television networks are now asking Stephanie (pictured) to do live interviews and even be on a reality show.
‘I never even considered the fact I could make a career out of this. But I guess there are other people out there making a living out of looking like Prince William, Kate Middleton and the Queen, so why not?’
Stephanie explained that she often had people comment on the similarity, which all started when the American television show, Suits, aired in Australia.
This was Meghan’s breakthrough role as she starred as legal assistant and law student, Rachel Zane.
Meghan Markle (pictured) will marry Prince Harry in a royal wedding on May 19
‘I can certainly see the resemblance – we have a very similar jawline but she has more of a refined nose than I do,’ she told the Canberra Times.
As the days go on we are getting closer and closer to the royal wedding, which will be taking place on May 19.
During this time the real Meghan will be preparing her dress and jewels for the day, while Stephanie plans to continue working as a retail manager at Lorna Jane.
However, this decision may change as hype around her appearance continues to grow.
