Ever since we first watched the Harry Potter crew enjoy sips of Butterbeer in Half-Blood Prince (it was only mentioned in Order of the Phoenix), we’ve needed to figure out how to sample it ourselves in every way, shape and form.
Luckily, places such as Universal Studios Hollywood’s The Wizarding World of Harry Potter has provided the world with a whole bunch of options: traditional, frozen and hot Butterbeer, as well as Butterbeer Potted Cream and Butterbeer Fudge. Those were all the different variations of the same tasty treat offered… until now.
As of this past weekend, the park offers Florean Fortescue’s… Butterbeer Ice-Cream!
The same weekend “The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle” began, Universal Studios Hollywood’s The Wizarding World of Harry Potter began serving the delectable treat, and we were there to sneak a taste. And, let us tell you, it’s just as delicious as it sounds! Think of cream soda, butterscotch and shortbread… in ice cream form.
If you’re dying to get a taste yourself, the Butterbeer-flavored (hard-pack) ice cream is currently being served at various carts located within Hogsmeade, as well as at Three Broomsticks (which is where we got ours from). So, what are you waiting for? Get on your broomsticks and fly on over to Universal Studios Hollywood ASAP!
