The fashion hunters who can find ANY outfit you’ve been lusting over

The fashion hunters who can find ANY outfit you’ve been lusting over – from Love Islanders’ bikinis to the dress worn by an old friend you’re secretly following on Instagram

  • Zoe Hall and Lauren Medcraff from Bournemouth set up TOWIE outfits in 2017
  • Originally identified outfits worn by Essex cast members before branching out
  • Now cover all reality and soap stars, identifying outfits in their spare time
  • Reality Fashion Hunters has attracted more than 35,000 followers on Instagram

Two best friends have amassed a legion of Instagram fans with their amazing ability to hunt down any outfit worn by TV stars in record time.

Zoe Hall, 24, and Lauren Medcraff, 23, from Bournemouth originally set up a TOWIE Outfits account in September 2017, detailing the clothes worn by the Essex stars.

It proved such a hit they changed the name to Reality Fashion Hunters to cover all reality star outfits, and they now have a following of more than 35,000 fashion fans on Instagram.

They’re currently kept hugely busy with Love Island, but admit that fans even get in touch asking for outfit matches for people they know but don’t want to ask directly.

‘We occasionally get our followers asking where a random persons outfit is from – someone who isn’t famous, usually a friend they haven’t spoken to for years and they don’t wish to ask themselves,’ Zoe told Femail.

‘We ensure we provide full confidentiality for requests like these and they’re so grateful.’

Zoe and Lauren run the account in their spare time, mostly in the evening when shows such as TOWIE and Love Island are on TV.

Zoe Hall and her best friend Lauren are the Reality Fashion Hunters who can track down any outfit worn by your favourite TV star, such as this God Save Queens  bikini seen on Kylie Jenner

Zoe and Lauren, who track down outfits in their spare time, manage to find a direct match for almost all requests – such as this Zara dress worn by Kate Wright

‘Over time the requests slowly expanded from reality stars’ clothing to celebrities such as Michelle Keegan, Stacey Solomon and even requests for soap stars such as those in Emmerdale and Coronation street,’ Zoe explained.

‘Love island has been our busiest period yet. We try to post as many outfits as we can live on our story with the option to ‘swipe up’ to shop to make things easier for our followers.

‘Any items we miss are often requested by our followers so we ensure we find these ASAP, although this isn’t always possible and need slightly longer.

‘Our followers are amazing and try to help us as much as possible, they message us to let us know where an item is from if we’ve missed it, they’re a great help.’

Lauren and Zoe started identifying the outfits on TOWIE but then expanded to include other reality stars, such as Made In Chelsea’s Louise Thompson

Love Island fans are currently keen to track down the swimwear worn on the show, such as Rosie’s bikini from Label Eleven

According to Zoe, finding the outfits is more a matter of time and tenacity than anything else.

‘There’s no secret method really, the majority of it is luck,’ she said. ‘For instance, we were asked to find Love Island’s Megan’s cat eye sunglasses the other day which were embellished with pearls.

‘We googled “cat eye sunglasses pearls” and searched through all the images that popped up.

‘It can sometimes be time consuming but its so worth it when we get lovely thank you messages from our followers, we love that we’re helping people and hopefully making someones day.’

It’s not always possible to find every single outfit, but the girls will offer an alternative option.

‘If nothing similar is available we will apologise and let the person know we weren’t successful. We ensure we reply to every message we get so we gain a stronger bond with our followers.

‘Our page contains details of a variety of outfits, a variety of styles all from different shops which enables our followers to learn about the smaller boutiques and even other brands which people may not have heard of.’

The pair also search for men’s outfits, although they don’t post them on Instagram.

‘Our followers are 95 per cent female so we try not to spam them with male outfits so if we do get a request for a male outfit we usually go back direct to them.’

As well as finding women’s clothing, such as Frankie Gaff’s Topshop dress, the pair also help men identify their favourite outfits
