A cut above the rest! Parents of a six-month-old baby with VERY impressive hair reveal they’re stopped in the street due to her resemblance to Despicable Me’s Agnes
- Anna Pendowska, 33, from Basingstoke, said Lilliana was born with head of hair
- She gets her lovely blue eyes from her dad, Lee, 35 and is advanced for her age
- Nurses claimed her locks were the first thing they noticed when she arrived
- Six-month-old is compared to Agnes, who wears hair in a ponytail on her head
The parents of a six-month-old baby with an extreme head of hair are stopped in the street over her resemblance to Despicable Me character Agnes.
Anna Pendowska, 33, and Lee Blackburn, 35, from Basingstoke, Hampshire, have revealed that when little Lilliana Blackburn was born via emergency c-section on August 29 last year weighing a healthy 7lbs 10oz, doctors and nurses couldn’t believe their eyes at her full head of dark brown hair.
As a result, their little bundle of joy is constantly compared to Agnes, the youngest of the three sisters in the animated Despicable Me films, who wears her hair in a large ponytail on top of her head.
‘When Lilliana was born, the doctor said she had the most hair he had ever seen,’ said Anna, a cafe manager who is currently on maternity leave,’ explained Anna.

‘All the nurses were commenting too, and couldn’t believe it. People often say she looks like Agnes from the Despicable Me films.’

The couple now spend two to three hours a week styling and washing Lilliana’s hair and have to buy special shampoos and products to tame her locks – but the tot has grown to love a blow dry with the sound of the hairdryer even sending her off to sleep.
‘We wash it every day, especially now that she started weaning and she loves touching her hair whether her hands are clean or dirty,’ Anna continued. ‘But I don’t blow dry it every second day to avoid damaging it too much.

Despite the myth that mothers carrying babies with more hair have an increased amount of heartburn, Anna had a pretty straight forward pregnancy.
And like mother like daughter, she also believes her daughter got her luscious looks from her, as she was also born with an impressive amount of hair.
After a 30-hour labour, Anna was rushed into theatre for an emergency c-section at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, and the couple were overjoyed to meet their new little one.

Anna and Lee, who works as a foundry manager, have recently entered Lilliana into a beautiful baby competition and hope her abundance of hair could help her win the top prize – the chance to be on the May cover of Baby Magazine and a year-long modelling contract.
‘As every Mum, I would love for her to be a little model but Lee is a musician hopes she will pick up an instrument in the future,’ said Anna.
‘But whatever she chooses to do we will stand behind her 100% and she can do whatever will make her happy.’
