Hannah Bronfman, the daughter of billionaire Edgar Bronfman, married fellow DJ Brendan Fallis last year in a four-day Moroccan extravaganza. Now the couple has listed their beautifully renovated East Village triplex for $2.65 million.
The one-bedroom apartment at 214 E. Ninth St., which was purchased for $1.6 million in 2014, has been featured in Architectural Digest — and many of Bronfman’s and Fallis’ Instagram posts. (Combined, the stylish pair has more than 500,000 followers.)
Their friend, architect Jeffrey White of EAU, moved the space’s only bedroom to the top floor, where it opens onto a large rooftop terrace. While there is no bathroom on this level — to “maximize” the space, White told StreetEasy’s blog, which first reported the listing — the landscaped terrace comes with a private outdoor shower, along with a grill and dining area.
White also reframed the roof, which added an extra 10 inches of height to the bedroom ceilings. A 10-foot-tall wall of windows lets in light.
Down two stories on the entry level, the living room comes with vaulted 18-inch ceilings, oversized windows and a fireplace. Small windows in the living room were replaced by 11-foot French doors that open to a Juliet balcony. An open kitchen has custom-designed cabinets with full-slab Carrara marble countertops. There’s also a half bathroom on this floor.
Stairs lead up to a second-level mezzanine with a sitting area/media room, which was formerly the apartment’s master bedroom. This floor also includes a giant walk-in closet and a spa-like bathroom, which has a skylight, a steam and rain shower and a freestanding clawfoot tub.
Features throughout the rest of the pad include white oak floors. There’s no doorman in this boutique condo, but there is an elevator and a video intercom system.
The listing broker is Jonathan Stein, of Brown Harris Stevens.
