I have fallen head-over-heels in love with her and I struggle to concentrate on my work when she is around.

She joined our company three years ago and is easily the kindest, most caring manager I have ever had.

I’m a man of 25, while she is 38. I don’t know whether she is in a relationship at the moment but I’m convinced she would not reciprocate my feelings.

Even so, no matter how hard I try, I can’t get her out of my head. I am really struggling.

DEIDRE SAYS:  Your feelings are very strong but she is not giving you any encouragement, so it’s best to accept your boss is not the person for you.

Many employers frown on workplace relationships, anyway, and getting involved with your boss – who is in a position of power – could jeopardise your job and also hers.

Believe me, you will find the right woman in time. It just isn’t this one.
