Inside I’m A Celebrity star Matty Lee’s snug home he’ll be swapping for castle life

Matty Lee will be taking part in I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! this year.

The talented star, 23, won a gold medal in the Tokyo Games, and he was called up and invited on the hit ITV show shortly after.

As a result, Matty will be swapping his everyday for the trappings of Gwrych castle as he gets set to battle out against other celebs to be crowned king of the jungle.

When he's not in the cold trappings of a castle, the star is spending time at his cosy home, which he's shared a peek at on social media.

The diving star had a "quarantine trim" during lockdown and he posed in his garden to show off the new hair cut.

In the background fans can spot a large umbrella and snug seating area as well as a shed.

The star posed in his kitchen with eye masks on, revealing brown cabinets running throughout the space.

The stylish kitchen also boasts some state-of-the-art equipment, and a large silver clock that we got a look at as the star endorsed a product on Instagram.

Matty could be seen standing outside his home after passing his driving test back in 2015.

Discussing being approached to star I'm A Celeb, Matty previously said: "Nothing ever prepares you for what life will be like after you do well in the Olympics.

"I was and still am mainly in shock that I am doing I’m A Celebrity.

"My two childhood dreams were to win an Olympic medal and take part in my favourite TV series. And now I am doing both this year!"

Matty went on to speak about how his family has taken in the news that he'll be heading into Gwrych castle to take part in the gruesome and brutal Bush Tucker trials alongside the likes of Frankie Bridge and Danny Miller.

He said: “My family is buzzing about it all. We were on the way back from the airport where they had picked me up from Tokyo when I got a call about the programme."

His diving partner Tom, 27, who recently said he was hospitalised with Covid-19 before his Olympic win, was ecstatic when he heard the news that Matty would be going on the ITV programme.

Matty explained: “When I told Tom, he was in shock too! He is so excited for me and he has always been so supportive and helped me a lot over the past three years.

"He gives me advice about anything whether it is relationships or whatever – I always ask Tom.”
