KFC customer’s horror after finding ‘brains’ in her chicken meal

A fast food fan was left with a bad taste in her mouth after finding what she believed to be brains in her meal.

Sarah Palmer, 26, was horrified after making the disgusting discovery in her chicken dinner from KFC.

But after posting her grim find on the fast-food company’s Facebook page she was simply told by the team that it was "more likely to be a piece of kidney".

Sarah and some friends decided to order a takeaway meal of a Giant Feast delivered to their door from a KFC in Sydney.

However, what she found in her bumper bucket of chicken turned out to be more than what she bargained for.

Posting on Facebook she said: “Hi KFC, I’m a fan of KFC chicken, don’t get me wrong.

“I love nugs just as much as the next person but today, upon purchasing what I had hoped would be some finger lickin’ good chicken from KFC Parramatta, I was horrified to find what looks like … brains.

“This is not a typo, yep I mean brains, buried under your delicious secret herbs and spices.

"Imagine my horror, nausea and disappointment.

"I wish this didn’t affect me as much as it does but this has put a real strain on my relationship with KFC.

“Would love your thoughts on how you think we can patch up our relationship.

"With fried regards, Sarah.”

However the response from a KFC customer service representative did not believe it to be a brain – but rather another organ.

In response, a KFC customer service representative wrote: “Hi Sarah, thanks for the message.

"I believe this is more likely a piece of kidney and not brain.

"Can you please PM and let me know what time you ordered, which meal you ordered and your best contact phone number for follow up.”

Another Facebook user agreed with James Phan replying: “Have you seen a chicken head?

“A chicken brain is the size of a Malteser.

"That’s just a kidney/offal that wasn’t removed.

"Chicken wasn’t gutted properly before being prepped."

After posting the picture to KFC’s Facebook page on Friday, Sarah’s post has since racked up over 20,000 comments and 1000 shares.
