Kids' shoes sold by Mamas and Papas recalled over fears children could choke on tassles

The shoes are all decorated with tassles or pom-poms, which could fall off and become a choking hazard.

The affected shoes, which are no longer on sale, are pairs of gold Fringe Moccasins, Pom Pom or Suede Detail shoes.

Mamas & Papas is asking customers to stop using them immediately if they have a pair.

Any of these shoes bought between June 2017 and October this year should be returned to any Mamas & Papas store for a full refund.

Mamas & Papas said that customers can also contact its customer service team who will be able to help anyone who thinks they have bought or been given a pair of these shoes.

A statement to customers said: "Please be assured that the safety and quality of our products is always our primary concern.

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused."

No other Mamas & Papas products are known to be a choking hazard.

The Sun has contacted Mamas & Papas for comment.

You can contact the Mamas & Papas customer service team by ringing 0345 268 2000 (option 3) in the UK, 1890 882 363 (option 3) in Ireland or by emailing [email protected]

Meanwhile Littlewoods has also recalled a children's bikini over fears children could be hurt.

The online retailer has asked parents to return the £21.95 Adidas Infinite 3 Stripe Bikini if they have bought one.

Adidas told Littlewoods that the three stripes on the bikini could come off when they get wet.

The recall states that this poses a safety risk to children because "the stripes might get stuck on objects or other children outside or inside the water, potentially leading to injuries".

Bikinis affected by the issue will have a label saying "Made In Tunisia" and the code BS0397 printed on the small inside label of the product.

It comes after Amazon also issued an urgent recall today of a pushchair over fears it could tip over and hurt a child.

A kids' slime toy has also been recalled today over fears it contains too much of a dangerous chemical.

Meanwhile Iceland is also recalling packs of chocolate cornflake clusters due to fears they may contain salmonella.
