Kourtney Kardashian has vowed to do her bit for the planet and go totally plastic free by next year.
The 41 year old star made the admission while showing the inside of her organised drinks fridge, promising that she wouldn’t be buying any more single use plastic containers.
The reality star explained that she will be strictly buying glass and other plastic alternatives instead and urged her 105 million followers to do the same.

“I'm making an effort to not buy plastic containers so to those using boxes, glass or other plastic alternatives, thank you, and to any plastic I have here, I won't be buying anymore,” she wrote on her Instagram Story.
The video shows rows of organic apple and lemonade, San Pellegrino, Bio-K, coconut water, ginger ale and other refreshments in glass bottles stacked from top to bottom.
The star is known for her super organised and tidy ways, often recruiting professionals to help her have her home is perfect order.

She is also fast becoming known for her eco friendly lifestyle choices with her website Poosh regularly advising users to live more sustainably and waste less.
Kourtney uses her platform to notify fans on matters like avoiding plastic water bottles, using biodegradable bin bags and tube-free toilet paper.
“This is an obvious one, but if you make a coffee or matcha tea to-go each morning, invest in a reusable mug instead of disposable cups,” one post on the site read.

“By the end of the month, you’ll have saved over 30 cups, which helps reduce the 16 billion disposable coffee cups that are used each year.”
The Kardashian has taken similar steps when it comes to packing lunches and snacks for her children — Mason, 11, Penelope, 8, and Reign, 6, opting for stainless steel containers over plastic.
“By making thoughtful choices like avoiding single-use plastic bags and water bottles, these efforts slowly but surely impact our planet for the better,” the post explained.

She also has previously advised fans to ditch plastic straws in favour of metal ones, which can be washed after every use and used again.
Kourtney also is a keen advocate of chemical free cleaning products and keeps stocked up with green cleaning supplies, which are safer and more environmentally friendly than their toxic counterparts.
However, the star was called out by fans after being filmed drinking from a single use plastic water bottle on an episode of KUWTK.
Kourtney later admitted that she could have remembered to take a reusable one, however, she’s ‘not perfect’ and promptly apologised for making a mistake.
