There are plenty of beauty trends from the nineties and noughties that we wouldn’t want to see make a resurgence, with thin eyebrows being one of them. Sure, it worked for Christina Aguilera back in the day, but haven’t we grown (literally) to love a thick and bushy brow?
Makeup mogul Kylie Jenner thinks not, and she’s doing her best to reignite the barely-there brow trend. We have to admit, she’s almost winning us over. In a new Instagram post promoting the launch of a new Kylie Cosmetics eyeshadow palette, the mum-of-two poses with sultry smokey makeup and pencil-thin eyebrows.
“My bronze and mauve palettes drop tomorrow at 9am pst in all new highly pigmented and easy to blend shades,” she captions the gorgeous image.
Fans have plenty to say on the subject of her new look, but the overwhelming majority of comments under the post are about her likeness to actress Alexa Demie, who plays Maddie Perez on HBO’s Euphoria.
“Looks like Maddie from Euphoria,” comments one, while a second says: “It’s giving Alexa Demie vibessss.”
A third writes: “Not me thinking this was Alexa Demie.”
This isn’t the first time Kylie has changed her look for a Kylie Cosmetics campaign. Just last month, Kylie and her sister Kendall Jenner modelled for the Kendall Vol.2 beauty collection, where the theme was lilac. Think Destiny’s Child I’m a Survivor outfits with a 90s Spice Girls beauty look and you’ve essentially pictured the imagery of the two sisters for this campaign.
While the Jenner sisters usually have very different beauty looks in their day-to-day lives, this campaign saw the two of them twin it big time with their hair and makeup. They wore the same hairstyle with baby braids framing their faces, and their skin showcased the same glowy base and peachy blush.
Fans, of course, loved their looks, and had plenty to say on the collaboration…
“Most iconic looks to-date,” said one fan, while another commented: “Twins!”
A third says: “So excited, I just bought the full collection.”
We have to give it to Kylie, she does have a knack for making us want to spend all our money on every single collection she comes out with.
