Of all the places to spot Louise Redknapp in public, a Tesco superstore in Sunderland would not be one of them.
But shoppers got a shock yesterday as the former Strictly Come Dancing star wheeled a blue basket around the aisles searching for groceries.
The ex-Eternal singer took to Instagram to share her bargain hunt in the northern supermarket, days after celebrating her 47th birthday.
Louise expertly blended into the aisles, carrying a paper bag and sporting a stylish Axel Arigato bomber jacket as she eyed up a deal for Cadbury’s Heroes.
Actress pal Vivian Panka snapped the photo of her fellow 9 to 5 the Musical star, who plays a plucky office worker determined to take on her sexist boss.
The musical is touring the UK, with Louise in the lead role until 2022.
It will be a welcome distraction to the mum of two, who is reportedly "struggling with regrets" since her ex-husband Jamie married Frida Andersson.
The newlyweds are expecting a baby together and according to pals, Louise was "shocked" by their sudden marriage in October.
A source told new: “It’s very mixed emotions for her. In one respect she’s happy for him and she knows they have to move on, but part of her is finding it very tough because the family’s adjusting, there’s someone new and there’s going to be a new baby.”
In her autobiography You’ve Got This, Louise opened up about the fact she regretted ending her 19-year marriage in 2017, and blamed taking part in Strictly Come Dancing for the split.
The star said: “If I’d done the show four years earlier, this wouldn’t have happened. I wouldn’t have walked away from my marriage.”
Louise is focusing on her handsome sons Charley, 17, and Beau, who turned 13 yesterday.
The proud mum posted cute photos of her youngest son on Instagram, writing: “Happy Birthday my little man… this was the one and only time you asked me to do a TikTok.
"Beau I love you more than words can say, you are my light everyday I’m so proud of you! I can’t believe you’re already 13 looking forward to the next milestone and everything you will achieve. Love Mum xxx”
The boys dote on their mum, with Charley sharing a sweet photo of them together on her birthday, captioned: “Happy birthday Mum I love you.”
