A lad's cheeky video about getting revenge on a McDonald's customer "ordering two minutes before close" provoked a mixed reaction when he shared it on social media.
In the clip, uploaded on TikTok by user @willardd, a McDonald's worker hastily throws a burger together with the most irritated attitude possible.
Sliding the bun across the counter, the lad squirts five massive dollops of mayonnaise on top of it and carelessly chucks some shredded lettuce on.
Next, he flings some cheese at the bun, with the slice landing half-in and half-out of the box.
The kitchen worker then adds the patty, closes the box, and shoves it to the end of the counter with a passive-aggressive motion.
In the caption, the TikTok user wrote: "Just a joke I promise."
The video has since been watched more than 40 million times and had more than 18,000 people comment – with the video proving to be quite controversial.
Not all McDonald's fans found the stunt funny and some even straight-up told the lad he ought to find himself another job.

One person wrote: "If you don’t love what you do then please do something else, you’re just creating negativity for other people otherwise."
A second blasted: "Two minutes before closing, so you’re still open, do your job.
"How would you like someone handling your food like that?"
Defending the McDonald’s worker, some people hit back at the negative comments.
"Y’all really be acting like you don’t get mad at your job," one fan wrote.
"Eh I'll still eat it with no complaints," said another person.
"As someone who worked at McDonald’s this is not a joke lmao," confessed a third viewer.
This comes after a new secret McDonald's "menu hack" made waves on social media – combining mozzarella sticks with a chicken burger and salsa.
And another Maccies fan made a "kebab" with a Big Mac and dubbed it the ultimate meal.
