In the clip, Maddie enthusiastically speaks directly into the camera as she says: ‘Let’s style some more random household items.

‘This time I’m thinking reuseable shopping bags. I found two of the same so I am just going to try and re-use these.’

She pauses before admitting: ‘I don’t have a plan as of yet.’

Mercilessly taking a pair of scissors to the tote bags and snipping off the handles, the fashion guru says: ‘Don’t worry we will use the straps.’

Maddie then sets about cutting the bottom out of the first bag to create a kind of tube so that she can slip into the work-in-progress.

She pulls it up around her waist but decides she wants to create a pleat to hide the branded logo printed on the tote.

But Maddie proves that there is no time to waste and jumps straight back into the creative process to make a matching top.

She starts by cutting out the bottom of the second bag before holding the material up in a bandeau style and deliberating: ‘I was thinking this but I feel like I’ve done this [style].’

She then repositions what is left of the bag to create a plunging, backless effect before putting the finishing touches to her chic design.

Last year, Maddie shared an insight into the darker side of life as a model.

According to the star, who posed for big magazines like Harper’s Bazaar Japan, Company, and Wylde in her teen years, her agents would sign her up for daily, 6am Pilates classes, and would speak with the trainers to ensure that she showed up.

She claimed they also told her not to eat fast food or post about it online, and that they once made her consume only juice for seven days straight.

Maddie also alleged that she had once found herself in an inappropriate situation with a photographer who ‘tried to force her to take her clothes off’ while they were alone in his home.

She said that when she told her agent about the exchange that they brushed it off and told her to ‘get used to it.’
