Mum-of-12 ingeniously makes dinner in crisp bags to save time on washing-up

A mum-of-12 was praised for her brilliant meal ideas when she had to feed 12 little humans and wanted to save time on doing wash-up,

Alicia Dougherty, from New York, posted on TikTok to share her meal ideas for the big family and one of them is a quick dinner she called "walking tacos".

Asking her husband to demonstrate how to make his own "tacos in a bag", she explains: "Open your bag of chips, put in meat, cheese and whatever toppings you want.

"Seal it and simply shake it up. Bon Appetit!"

The savvy mum dishes out on the toppings — including sweetcorn, onions, tomatoes, olives, sour cream and salsa.

Many fans thanked Alicia for the no-fuss idea and were tempted to try out the quick and easy method, especially when they don't feel like to clean up.

"Oh my God I love this! No mess to clean up!" one chimed and a second commented: ""I have to try that tacos in a bag, it looks so good!"

"You're a super mum and you have such an amazing family! I need to try this out" a third added.

Alicia also prepped her children's meals for breakfast and lunch so that she can organise her time better when she had to take them for sport activities or camps.

For lunch, she usually gives her kids sandwiches, a fruit bag, juice and a small pack of crisps.

She had to use four shopping carts to fill up all the food, snacks, drinks and travel essentials she needed for a family of 14.
