DEAR DEIDRE: I’M tempted to ask the guy I started seeing if he has been dating another girl because my friend saw them together in the park.
Before lockdown happened we had been on a few socially distanced walks.
We aren’t officially dating but I have never felt so attracted to someone I’ve just met.
I am 19 and he is 22. I thought we could make a go of things but then my friend texted me saying she had seen him laughing with another girl while they sat in our local park.
I want to tell him that I’m not interested in anybody else – just him – but I don’t want to embarrass myself, and I just hate the thought of being rejected.

DEIDRE SAYS: Yes, go for it. It may have been perfectly innocent and she might be a friend or relative.
If he says she was just a friend, then he should be able to see other friends, even if they are female.
Although of course, even if he says he would like to be in a relationship with you, in practical terms you will probably have to take your relationship slowly and make sure you stay within the rules.
Go to gov.uk/coronavirus for more information on this.
My e-leaflet called Standing Up For Yourself will help start the conversation. Good luck.
