The documentary For The Love of Dogs sees Paul visiting animals and staff at the famous Battersea Dogs and Cats Home in London.

He also appeared in a Doctor Who episode, The Stolen Earth in 2008.

He has added to his bank balance by publishing a four-volume autobiography.

The presenter has received a number of awards, including an MBE in the 2008 Birthday Honours for services to entertainment.

Aside from being on the television screens, Paul has performed in multiple pantomimes, including Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

In his personal life, Paul is a huge fan of animals with a number of dogs of his own.

His newest addition to the family is Nancy, who was adopted from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.
