Some Royal Mail customers have been hit by delays in recent weeks due to high demand and poor weather conditions. The postal company has listed the areas and postcodes which could have delays this week.
While some parts of the UK are experiencing warmer weather this week, rain, snow and ice continue in other areas.
The potentially dangerous conditions mean some parts of Scotland could see their post affected.
A Royal Mail statement said: “We’re delivering and collecting wherever it’s safe and possible to do so today.
“We’re sorry that some addresses in Scotland may experience disruption as a result of snow and ice.”
The postal service also warned of resourcing issues which could cause delays in other parts of the UK.
It stated: “Due to resourcing issues, associated self-isolation and safety measures, deliveries in the following areas are likely to be disrupted this week.
“In those areas that are temporarily affected by very high levels of absence, customers can expect deliveries at least every other day.”
The company listed eight postcodes which could be affected by delays in the coming days.

Derby (DE1, DE3, DE21 to DE24, DE72 to DE74 and DE99)
Grays DO (RM16-RM20)
Harwich DO (CO12)
Orton Southgate DO (PE2, PE7-PE9)
South Croydon DO (CR0, CR2)
Southend on Sea (SSO, SS1-SS4)
St. Albans (AL1-AL5)
While the postal service may be slower, Royal Mail stated customers should still get deliveries at least every other day.
It also explained delivering letters regarding the coronavirus vaccination to residents would be a priority.
The statement continued: “We’re sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
“We’re working hard to deliver as comprehensive a service as possible with the resources available to support these offices. And we’re ensuring we prioritise delivery of vaccination letters.”
Royal Mail has updated how services work with growing demand during the coronavirus pandemic.
It announced changes to Special Delivery Guaranteed delivery to allow more time.
“Our guaranteed delivery for Special Delivery Guaranteed by 9am the next working day is by 11am the next working day,” it continued.
“Our guaranteed delivery for Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm the next working day is by 4pm the next working day.
“This includes items where a Saturday guarantee has been purchased.”
