There is SO much drama on this week’s Neighbours that we’ve chucked in an extra couple of spoilers because they’re just too juicy to keep to ourselves. It’s another big week for Elly, one that could end as either the absolute best or absolute worst of her life. Which way will it go, eh?
Of all the unbelievable things happening to Elly Conway (Jodi Anasta) of late this takes the biscuit – the father of her baby comes back from the dead having! But will he arise in time to stop his psycho mother from stealing their child? Or perhaps he’s popped up to give her a helping hand…
Meanwhile, Toadie (Ryan Moloney) is finding himself being distracted from the cause at hand by his uncontrollable urges towards Dee (Madeleine West). But while the two of them do end up in bed together, he’s enough of a pro to get his head back in the game afterwards and he discovers the key to getting Elly released!
But before she can be freed, Andrea escalates her evil plan. Will she lose everything just when freedom is within her grasp?
And while all of that’s going on, Hendrix (Benny Turland) and Harlow (Jemma Donovan) are questioning their relationship after everything they’ve been through, Naomi (Morgana O’Reilly) is getting dangerously close to Pierce (Tim Robards), and Shane (Nick Coghlan) makes a decision on Mackenzie’s (Georgie Stone) behalf that could change everything.
Cripes, what a week. Here goes…
Can anyone stop Claudia from stealing the baby?
Chloe is going great guns in trying to find something incriminating about Claudia so that the family can win Aster back, and she’s taking some huge risks. But no one realises just how important her detective work is as Claudia is gearing up to secretly flee the country and Chloe could unwittingly be the only one who could prevent that from happening. Aaron tries to stop Chloe from going to such lengths but he is soon given reason to believe Claudia really is as bad as his sister says. And then the pair of them discover a huge secret, but is it enough to bring Claudia down?
Meanwhile, Claudia is packing up her stuff and heading off to a private jet…
Shaun’s back from the dead
Claudia and Aster arrive at the private jet ready to take off out of the country and escape to Switzerland, never to see Elly again. She reaches the plane door, pleased with herself that her plan has worked so well. But then the plane door opens and she is shocked to see someone stood there – Shaun is alive! And man does he have a story to tell.
Toadie and Dee do the dirty
Things are getting a bit saucy between Toadie and Dee ever since that kiss. They’re both a bit awkward about jumping into bed together, but they cannot deny the sparks flying and the sexual tension. Toadie suggests they head back to his place, but when Dee becomes overwhelmed Toadie immediately assumes it’s all gone wrong. But Dee later explains it’s because everything is just so wonderful, so they fall into bed and the kasbah gets a-rocking.
Shane makes a huge move on Mackenzie’s behalf
It’s a big day for Mackenzie – she’s turning 18! But it’s tinged with sadness without either parent there to help celebrate. The Rebecchis help, but it’s Richie who makes everything better – showing up with a huge romantic gesture. Nice one, lad. But it looks like things will go downhill rapidly when it turns out Shane has gone behind Mackenzie’s back and contacted Grant, who’s had a bad accident. Dipi is worried about what they’ve got themselves into, but they don’t plan on telling Mackenzie about it yet.
Toadie finds a way to save Elly
Toadie has been seriously distracted by Dee and has taken his eye off the ball for a bit. But when he realises how desperate Elly is, his mind is snapped back into the game and he’s ready to work on her appeal. He becomes seriously stressed about it, and when he learns of the court’s decision it is up to him to deliver the heartbreaking news to Elly. She’s devastated, especially as Andrea has been increasing her threats.
Left with very few options, Toadie starts to investigate a suspicious detail about Elly’s sentencing. It leads him to make a shocking discovery – one that might see him freeing his friend from prison. But can he do it in time?
Naomi is getting dangerously close to Pierce
Naomi is pretty damn thrilled to see Pierce again, someone from her past she’s always wondered about. It’s short lived though as she’s left badly disappointed when she discovers he’s married to her boss. But is that enough to put her off? She struggles to work with Pierce while keeping a respectable distance, and tries her best to avoid any one to one working. Pierce is later seriously shocked to learn Naomi and Paul were once engaged and she thinks his reaction might mean something. Is she going to make a move on him?
Andrea wants to take Elly down
Andrea is hell bent on making Elly’s life a misery and Elly is increasingly more desperate to escape her clutches, she’s counting on Toadie to do something to save her. Elly catches Andrea taking bets from the other inmates but doesn’t ask what for. She knows it’s something bad though. What has Andrea got planned this time, is it more torture for Elly? And though Toadie may have found a way to get her freed, will he do it in time?
Hendrix and Harlow to split?
Harlow is becoming painfully aware at how different she and Hendrix are. She’s reserved, he’s a party boy. She decides she needs to find her inner wild child and goes crazy in a bid to keep up with him, but he’s horrified, and she is forced to admit the truth. Is this it for them?
Scenes air from Monday 1st June on Channel 5.
