As head of hair and make-up for BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, Lisa Armstrong is responsible for some of the boldest make-up looks seen on TV screen.

But Lisa’s make-up skills aren’t all about head-to-toe body paint and bucketloads of glitter. The MUA has recently launched a capsule make-up collection with Avon, inspired by products she always uses on her celebrity clients – and they’re all flattering, beautifully packaged and easy for anyone to use.

  • Biggest make-up removal mistakes according to an expert, from only using wipes to choosing the wrong cleanser

  • Strictly’s Dianne Buswell looks completely different with black hair and a fringe in amazing throwback snap

“I wanted to bring these 12 products from my kit and make them affordable, beautiful and wearable for everyone,” Lisa exclusively tells OK!. “They’re for making everybody feel like the best version of themselves.”

And for anyone whose make-up skill may have got a little rusty over lockdown, Lisa has created this exclusive tutorial for OK!, demonstrating how to achieve the perfect easy summer make-up look using some of the products from her range, plus some old favourites. Think glowing skin, subtly shimmery eyes and a pretty nude lip – it’s fresh, natural and easy to achieve.

Here’s exactly what Lisa used to create this gorgeous summer look…

Lisa Armstong x Avon All About The Base Priming Moisturiser, £15 here

Lisa preps the model’s skin with this Avon bestseller, massaging the hydrating cream gently all over the face.

“I never leave the house without a good primer on,” Lisa tells OK!.

NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation, £35 here

For a flawless base, Lisa applies this luminous foundation to the back of her hand first before applying to the skin with a flat brush, starting from the centre of the face then blending outwards.

Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, £24 here

A long-time favourite with make-up artists and celebrities, this full-coverage concealer is excellent at covering up dark circles, spots and imperfections.

“This is an amazing concealer that will hide all of your blemishes,” says Lisa.

By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra Powder, from £16 here

A lightweight and non-cakey powder, Lisa loves this for setting foundation and concealer in place. She brushes it lightly over the centre of the face with a small fluffy brush.

Huda Beauty Tantour, £26 here

“Using this powder underneath the cheekbones, brow bones and jawline will add definition to the face,” explains Lisa.

She also sweeps it in the crease of the eye, and underneath the lash line. “I’m really into products that have a dual purpose at the moment,” Lisa tells us.

Lisa Armstrong x Avon Dazzle Stick in Starstruck, £10 here

This creamy crayon is another product that Lisa uses in more than one way. As well as on the eyes, Lisa also blends it on to the tops of the cheeks as a highlighter.
