Cassie Randolph and Colton Underwood are one of the latest Bachelor couples to call it quits. Unlike most Bachelor couples, the two are being really secretive about what led to their split. It’s been over a month since Randolph and Underwood went their separate ways yet Bachelor nation really doesn’t know much about what happened between them. On Monday night’s episode of The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever!, Randolph opened up a little more about the breakup.
Cassie and Colton’s journey on ‘The Bachelor’
Randolph and Underwood met on Underwood’s season of The Bachelor. From the beginning, it was clear that Underwood had a thing for Randolph. On their overnight date, Underwood told Randolph that he wanted to be with her in the end, even though there were still two women left in the competition. Randolph said that she wasn’t ready for an engagement and tried to send herself home. Underwood was able to convince Randolph to come back to the show and finish the season with him.
Life after ‘The Bachelor’
After The Bachelor, people began asking Randolph and Underwood when they were going to move in together and get engaged. The two insisted on taking things slow.
“We are trying to do everything as normal as possible,” Underwood told Extra after his season ended. “I don’t think you realize how many important steps you miss in the Bachelor process, which is nothing against them. We want to make sure we do this the right way. Statistically speaking, for Bachelors, it’s not very good odds, so I think us going against what other Bachelor and Bachelorette couples have done is probably going to work out in our favor.”

“We both feel like … living our separate lives but still coming together at the end of the day is what’s most important for us and what’s the right step for where we’re at in our relationship.”
When Underwood contracted coronavirus (COVID-19), Randolph and her family nursed him back to health. But shortly after he was well again, the two announced their breakup.
“It’s been a crazy few months to say the least, Cass and I have been doing a lot of self-reflecting,” Underwood wrote on Instagram, announcing the split. “Sometimes people are just meant to be friends – and that’s OK. We both have grown immensely and been through so much together – so this isn’t the end of our story, it’s the start of a whole new chapter for us.”
Cassie finally talks about the split
During Monday’s episode of The Bachelor, Randolph said she was doing OK after the breakup.

“It was really good,” she said. “We honestly had a really great relationship the entire time and we got along really well.”
She didn’t want to get into the details surrounding the end of their relationship as she said it was still a sensitive subject and the two were “still kind of going through it.”
One of the hardest parts of the breakup for the reality star has been doing it in public.
“It’s been really hard,” she said. “I think going through any breakup is hard, but going through one in public comes with a whole new set of challenges that, like, I’ve never gone through any of this before. We’re both kind of learning to navigate it. But we’re on good terms and hanging in there.”
