Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are making headlines yet again. The couple has been a fixture in newspapers and magazines ever since they began dating. However, the events of the last few years have made them a favorite target for gossip (via Vogue). According to Harry himself, the tabloids are corrupt and at times “bigoted.” During his recent interview with Oprah Winfrey, the Duke of Sussex openly shared his thoughts on the press. “The U.K. press is bigoted, specifically the tabloids. If the source of information is inherently corrupt or racist or biased, then that filters out to the rest of society,” he stated.
However, many people are extremely interested in Harry and Meghan’s lives, and the drama that they’ve seemingly caused in the royal family (via Cosmopolitan). The couple shook things up when they officially left their royal duties as senior members of the family in early 2020, per CNN. They packed their bags and left the U.K. for the United States, where they currently reside in California. Things were said to get even worse when the duke and duchess dropped shocking bombshells about the family during their tell-all interview with Oprah (via Town & Country). With all of the latest drama happening with the royal family, reports of an update to Meghan and Harry’s biography are swirling.
Is Meghan and Harry's biography getting additional chapters?
According to The Sunday Times of London, speculation is flying that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s 2020 biography “Finding Freedom” may be set for a big update. The report suggests that additional chapters will be added to address the most recent drama inside the royal family, such as the couple’s shocking interview with Oprah Winfrey, claims of bullying against Meghan, and Harry’s reunion with his family at Prince Philip’s funeral. “The Oprah interview detonated a bomb under the royal family and most of them are still reeling in shock. The book will not help,” one source stated.
Page Six reports that the book’s co-author, Omid Scobie, took to social media to dispute the claims that he would be updating the biography to reflect on the most recent events involving Harry and Meghan. “A not-so-accurate report about ‘Finding Freedom’ in the Sunday Times, who didn’t even bother asking for comment before falsely claiming a paperback edition will feature new chapters that will “reopen royal rifts”. Why let facts get in the way of a spicy story though, eh?” Scobie tweeted about the news. However, with interest in the royal family increasing, fans would likely scour the book to find out some inside information about what’s really happening between Meghan, Harry, and the rest of the family.
