If you asked a Brit to name three of the most classic TV shows on telly right now, we guarantee This Morning would be one of them. Especially since Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield took on presenting duties together back in 2009 and became a household duo as iconic as Ant and Dec.
Winning almost every NTA it’s nominated for and consistently being one of the most-watched daytime shows, the success of This Morning surely means that those presenting it are worth a small fortune by now.
So, from the likes of Holly and Phil to other much-loved presenters like Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary, how much are they actually paid for what we can only imagine is the dream job?
It probably comes as no surprise that Holly Willoughby is believed to be one of the highest earners in the This Morning presenting circle.
The 42 year old, who has been hosting the show alongside her bestie Phillip Schofield since 2009, is reported to earn between £600,000 to £700,000 per year with her current contract.
This comes after allegations that she was earning £200,000 less than her co-host Phil.
However, back in 2017, it was widely broadcast that the pay gap had been rectified, and that the pair both now earn the same amount.
Alongside her This Morning duties, Holly also earns her huge salary through other presenting roles, most notably Dancing On Ice, which she also co-hosts with Phil.
She’s also got plenty of other money-making ventures on the go, including previous hosting roles like Celebrity Juice, The Voice UK, Surprise Surprise, and her one-time stint on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in which she covered for Ant McPartlin back in 2018.
And let’s not forget her partnerships with major brands like Dunelm and M&S plus her own brand, Wylde Moon.
Totting all this up, Holly’s net worth is reportedly a cool £10 million.
Like Holly, Phil is said to earn around £600,000 to £700,000 from his This Morning contract.
The 60 year old also dabbles in many other entertainment ventures, including his yearly spell on Dancing On Ice alongside Holly.
Not to mention fronting the long-running game show, The Cube, his best-selling book which reportedly saw him pocket £1.45 million, and his contract with Waitrose that sees him write for its weekend paper and pose as the face of their UK wine.
So, all of these earnings together must provide the presenter with a comfortable bank balance, right? Well, according to Celebrity Net Worth, Phil is worth around £8.6 million.
Alison Hammond is a national treasure and has been part of the This Morning team since 2002.
Starting off as their lead showbiz reporter and being responsible for some of the most hilarious A-list interviews on the show (like, who can really say they’ve played Connect 4 with Beyoncé?) the 48 year old has worked her way up to become a regular Friday host alongside Dermot O’Leary.
But while her This Morning salary is unknown, according to reports she’s worth between £1 million and £4 million. Alright for some, eh?
Back in 2019, she chatted to Metro about her financial struggles back in her 20s, and how seeing a bank balance of zero used to make her happy.
“Those were like the happiest days,” she recalled.
“When I used to see zero I used to think ‘oh thank god!’ I used to live in an overdraft, I think it was like £1000 overdraft I used to have and I think I used to need to go into it every single month,” she added.
Dermot O’Leary’s This Morning salary also hasn’t been made public, but if we were to guess, it’s probably a pretty penny.
He joined the team back in 2021 as a presenter on Fridays, and school and bank holidays with Alison, and like his co-star, he’s reported to be worth millions.
Probably best known for hosting X Factor, the 49 year old also earns his money elsewhere.
From joining BBC Radio 2 as host of the Saturday Morning Breakfast show in 2017 to presenting the National Television Awards, all these different roles have earned him a casual net worth of £8.6 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
