A devoted dad wore a matching Elsa costume with his seven-year-old son to the premiere of Disney’s Frozen musical.
Scott Stuart, from Australia, attended the event in Sydney earlier in December wearing Elsa’s signature blue dress along with his son Colin – who has been ‘obsessed’ with Frozen since he was three years old.
Scott – who is a best-selling children’s author – is determined to change the conversation around gender stereotypes, but admits that he was nervous before stepping out in public.
He told the Daily Mail: ‘I grew up in a strict family unit under very rigid gender stereotypes, and the fear of being judged by others has stuck with me.
‘By breaking a gender stereotype in public, I was, quite frankly, terribly scared and nervous.’
Seriously. Fear of judgement runs deep. Pics and review coming on Insta! #elsa #frozen #dadlife #frozenmusical #boysinskirts
Scott spoke about his anxiousness in a TikTok video which has now gone viral and been viewed more than 1.9 million times.
But the Aussie dad said that his son’s excitement helped to calm his nerves.

Scott said: ‘When we were driving to the theatre, Colin kept saying “this is going to be so much fun” and “we’re going to have a great time.”
‘It’s almost as if the roles had switched and he was supporting me this time – even though he didn’t know how nervous I was.’
However, this isn’t the first time Scott has stepped out in public in an Elsa costume.
He and his wife dressed up as the fictional character to see Frozen 2 with their son at the cinema.
Scott added: ‘Last time [at the cinema] my son was very nervous too because he was worried about what people may think, but this time he was completely filled with confidence.’
On the more recent occasion, the father and son were met with a huge amount of support at the event.
