Vicky Pattison’s emerald cut engagement ring is most searched for shape

Vicky Pattison has given a glimpse of her gorgeous emerald cut engagement ring after her beau Ercan Ramadan got down on one knee.

The 34 year old former Geordie Shore star, who announced her engagement to her boyfriend of three years during a sun-drenched getaway to Dubai on Tuesday, designed the ring alongside her boyfriend Ercan, 28, with the help of Ian Gallacher Jewellers.

Meanwhile Vicky and Ercan designed the gorgeous ring together with Ian Gallacher Jewellers sharing a snap to their Instagram Story with the caption: "Huge congratulations to @vickypattison and @ercan_ram."

The message continued: "It was an absolute pleasure working with you both to design the perfect ring.

"We wish you both a lifetime of happiness."

And Vicky and Ercan have very good taste with the emerald shape having the most searches in 2022 with a staggering 1,600 monthly, according to research by Vera Clinic.

The cushion cut, which has a square shape and rounded edges, came in second with 590 searches along with the radiant cut which placed third and possesses the same outline as an emerald diamond.

The emerald has an elongated and rectangular shape and has a large surface table with it appearing larger than other cuts in the same carat weight.

Vicky showed off her ring to her 4.9million Instagram followers and described how Ercan 'smashed it' after he popped the question on the beach against the backdrop of the Burj Al Arab.

Her emerald cut diamond is set in a band of smaller diamonds with celebrities including Beyonce and Jennifer Lawrence also having a similar style.

Commenting on the research, Waleed Taleb, Aesthetics Expert and CMO at Vera Clinic, said: "With high profile celebrities such as Beyonce, Paris Hilton, Jennifer Lawrence and of course Vicky Pattison showing off stunning emerald-shaped engagement ring diamonds, it’s no surprise searches for them have surged.

"Cuts such as the trilliant and baguette are much more old fashioned, with less and less famous people wearing them, and therefore less interest sparked.

"The round cut engagement ring will always stay a classic, in my opinion, meaning it won’t top the list of most searched, but will always be up there with a good amount of interest.”

Ercan also shared a collection of loved-up snaps to his 181,000 Instagram followers and gave a closer look at the ring as the couple celebrated with a glass of fizz.

He penned: "She’s only gone & Said Yes.. My Rock.. Love you forever & always Can’t wait to begin our new chapter together."
