How do you spend the night before your @ufc HOF induction?!? You subdue some asshole drunk that was threatening waiters then tries to swing on you. #jiujitsu

You should never, ever pick a fight with someone when you’re drunk in public — you never know who might step up to shut your idiotic antics down.
This poor sot learned his lesson the hard way in Las Vegas after he ran afoul of former MMA Welterweight Champion Matt Serra. The Brazilian jiu jitsu specialist was in Sin City for his induction into the UFC Hall of Fame when a fellow patron stepped out of line, purportedly threatening wait staff and goading Serra to throw down.
“How do you spend the night before your @ufc HOF induction?!?” Serra wrote on his Instagram post sharing the video. “You subdue some asshole drunk that was threatening waiters then tries to swing on you. #jiujitsu”
The anonymous drunkard was lucky that Serra, who racked up an 18-11 pro record along with his title belt, was in a good mood. The footage shows the fighter sitting mounted on the man’s chest, offering him every possible chance to calm down and disentangle himself from the situation.
Still, the man persisted, threatening to “f*ck you up” and then, once it became clear even to him that he was bettered, press charges against Serra.
Sorry, pal. You lost the moment you started something with a musclebound stranger. We’ll say it one more time: Don’t get in bar fights. No matter what you want to believe, you’re probably not the toughest guy around — and you’ll find that out quickly, in the hardest way possible.
