Christmas Jumper Day is the perfect time to combine spreading festive cheer, while also doing some good.

The annual charity day was launched by Save the Children in 2012, and encourages people to wear their whackiest, most daring jumpers in order to raise money for children.

The charity have so far managed to raise £12million since launch.

Christmas Jumper Day falls on Friday, December 13, 2019.

It always falls on a Friday in the middle of December.

But don’t worry if you can’t take part on that particular day, as the Save The Children charity encourages you to support on a different day.

What is Christmas Jumper Day?

Christmas Jumper Day is an annual fundraising event by Save The Children, which aims to help create a brighter future for children.

On the day people across the country will go to work, school or wherever they go, dressed in a Christmas jumper.

How to get involved in Christmas Jumper Day:

The first thing you will need is a Christmas Jumper, but it doesn’t have to be a new one.

If you don’t already have one you could decorate one you have already, because the charity is encouraging people to be sustainable.

The charity said: “This yer Save the Children want people to have the most sustainable Christmas Jumper Day ever, by encouraging people to get creative and up-cycle Christmas jumpers.”

Once you are wearing your finest festive knits, you will be asked to donate at least £2 to Save the Children, or £1 if you are in school.

The Save the Children website explains: “Wear a silly jumper and get every single person you know to do the same! Then donate £2 – it’s for the kids, people!”

“Your £2 donation could change a child’s life. It could help them grow up healthy and safe, get an education, so they can grow up to be who they want to be.”

All you have to do is sign up on the Save the Children website, and you’ll get a free fundraising pack.

After you’ve told everyone you know about Christmas Jumper Day, you can donate £2 (or £1 if you’re at school”.
