MILLIONS of fans will soon be watching sexy, sun-drenched series Love Island — and to celebrate we are launching our Summer Modelling Competition.
The Sun on Sunday is looking for two very special readers whose personality shines through on camera, whether they have traditional good looks or unique features.
It is open to all over-18s and each of our winners will get a year’s contract with a top modelling agency and a holiday on Love Island location Majorca.
We have teamed up with London agency Fomo Models, who work with high-end designers including Versace, D&G and Armani, as well as cool fashion labels including boohoo, ASOS and PrettyLittleThing.
Their eagle-eyed talent scouts recently discovered Clara Louise, 24, the curvy new face of Gucci, and spotted 24-year-old Addis Miller, one of the most recognisable e-commerce models in the UK today, who works with Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger.
WE’LL GUIDE YOU
Fomo Models boss Rob Wilson said: “We want to hear from Sun on Sunday readers, aged 18 and over, who have a great personality, because that really is what modelling is all about. They must have big characters and a great camera presence too.
“Physically, we look for clear skin, healthy hair and a big smile. That’s really it. It’s not about weight. Today’s models come in every size, ethnicity and gender, so no one should be put off.
“But you must be resilient and not take rejection personally, because a working model goes to a lot of castings before landing a job.
“We will be on hand though to guide and look after each of our winners.
“We can’t wait to see the entrants for The Sun on Sunday’s Summer Modelling Competition. It is going to be fantastic to get two fresh new faces on our books.
“We love to help improve the lives of young people and give them the kind of opportunities they wouldn’t normally experience, such as travelling the world, creating beautiful imagery and making enough money to secure their futures.”
And after signing a potentially lucrative 12- month contract with the agency, each of our two lucky winners will receive up to £2,000 to spend on Majorca hol- idays of their choice.
The winners will be selected by a panel of judges who include Rob and his fellow Fomo Models boss Ross McGeown, telly psychologist Emma Kenny and the Love Island contestant Molly Smith, 25, who is a model from Manchester.
She took part in the sixth season of the ITV2 series in January last year.
Molly, who has gone on to land a string of lucrative modelling gigs, including a six-figure deal with fashion store I Saw It First, said: “I’ll be looking for someone who is confident and really comfortable in their own skin. That is what should shine through.
I’d encourage everyone to enter this competition. It could change your life the way Love Island changed mine, but you’ll never know unless you try
“The industry is totally diverse now. The reason I get booked on jobs is because people say I am a pleasure to work with.
“I get way more compliments on my personality than my looks.
“I’d encourage everyone to enter. This could change your life like Love Island changed mine — but you’ll never know unless you try.” Emma added: “This is an amazing competition, which has the power to totally transform the winners’ life by offering a change of career and the realisation of a dream.
“Resilience is also really key, as rejection can be challenging.
“Having a realistic mindset makes a huge difference to how you cope with success, or failure.”
