You can currently secure a cruise holiday next year for a £50 deposit

P&O Cruises is giving holidaymakers the perfect excuse to secure a cruise holiday next year without blowing your Christmas budget, as the cruise line unveils a new £50 deposit offer.

The best part is that there’s a generous travel window to choose from, as the deal is valid on select travel dates between the 22nd March through to the 29th December 2019.

Not to mention that you’ve got plenty of time to pick the right holiday for you, as the sale ends on Monday 3rd December 2018. After this, the standard 15 per cent deposit rate will apply.

However, you might want to get in early as the offer is available on new bookings across select cruises, so it’s worth beating the crowds to get the best deals.

You can find all the details on the P&O Cruises deal page. But that’s not the only exciting discount to be had.

For a start, extra guests can sail from a bargain £1 on applicable holidays. The deal is valid when two full paying adults share a cabin, with third and fourth occupancy rates discounted. (Excludes BE grade cabins).

There’s more good news as from May 2019 there will be no Service Charge on sailings. However if you book beforehand, you will be subject to a £7pp per day discretionary daily Service Charge.

Earlier this year cruise line unveiled its intention to scrap the daily charge, which currently applies to any guest aged 12 or over.

Moving forward passengers will be given the option to tip members of staff throughout their holiday – and the amount will be up to them as well.

It could make quite the difference for families; for example, a family of four with two children over 12 could stand to save £196 on a seven-night sailing, or even £392 on a two-week sailing.

Of course it’s worth noting this doesn’t account for the money that passengers will then spend on tipping staff, but again this will be optional and the amount will be up to their discretion.

Don’t be disheartened if you don’t manage to snap up one of the £50 deposit deals – there are still plenty of year-round cruise deals on offer that could help you stick to your original holiday budget.
