We didn’t see that coming— Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson are engaged after dating for a couple of weeks.
According to People, it was only last month that a few sources confirmed that the two were dating. The pair met on Saturday Night Live where they did a comedy skit together. Apparently, at that time, there was already chemistry going on between them.
A source close to the couple comments, “It’s a recent engagement. They’re just two people who found love quickly and make each other happy all the time. They both started talking about it this past weekend. It’s nothing they’ve been hiding”
The pair is not afraid of showing their affection on social media. On a recent tweet by Grande on June 11, 2018, she said, “I love u,” followed by a ton of shy monkey emojis. They also posted a few intimate Instagram photos together.
The pair was first spotted together at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards. That was 10 days after Ariana Grande officially confirmed her break-up with the rapper, Mac Miller. The two dated for about two years before they split in May. She officially posted an Instagram story about the break-up, writing, “This is one of my best friends in the whole world and favorite people on the planet. I respect and adore him endlessly and am grateful to have him in my life in any form at all times regardless of how our relationship changes or what the universe holds for both of us!”
On May 16, 2018, Pete Davidson, also confirmed that he broke up with his longtime girlfriend, Cazzie David.
The two officially publicized their budding romance with an Instagram post by Davidson. He captioned, “the chamber of secrets has been opened…,” followed by a comment from Grande, “U tryna to Slytherin (I’m deleting my account now).”
After a whirlwind romance, sources finally confirm that the two are engaged. They comment, “they’re just two people who found love quickly and make each other happy all the time.”
