Britney Spears‘ mother has shared words of encouragement to her social media followers as the singer enters a facility for “all-encompassing wellness treatment.”
The Grammy winner has sought treatment as her 66-year-old father continues to struggle with his health after a “life-threatening” colon rupture. Spears, 37, first opened up about his private battle in January when she announced that she would postpone her Domination shows in Las Vegas in order to focus on her family.
On Thursday, Lynne Spears posted a message of positivity on Instagram. Though it doesn’t directly address a particular person, the graphic encourages followers to “Keep Going” under tough circumstances.
“I promise you won’t feel this way forever,” the text reads in part.
Britney’s younger sister Jamie Lynn also shared kind words after news broke that the the pop icon had entered treatment.
In honor of #WomanCrushWednesday, she shared an adorable throwback photo from her first day of school, where she was captured beaming as she stepped off the bus in her polo, denim skirt, and backpack. Right behind her was Britney, who stuck her tongue out for the camera.
“Yup, she rode the bus home with me after my first day of school, cuz she’s the fn best #WCW?♀️?” Jamie Lynn captioned the sweet post.
Britney’s boyfriend, model-trainer-actor Sam Asghari, also offered words of support on social media.
“It isn’t weakness, It’s a sign of absolute strength,” the 25-year-old wrote on Instagram on Wednesday night. “People should only be inspired by this, at least I am … #stronger”
According to a source, the singer wants to work on herself for the benefit of her sons Jayden, 12, and Sean, 13 — whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
“As a mom, she knows she has to get better,” the source tells PEOPLE. “She wanted to get help so she can find ways to cope better. This is what she is getting help with right now.”
