Charli XCX to Livestream 'how i'm feeling now' Boiler Room Concert

Back in May, Charli XCX released her highly-anticipated studio album how i’m feeling now. The do-it-yourself project was made entirely during quarantine and was inspired by the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. Now, Boiler Room has announced that it will host a livestream event for Charli’s quarantine album.

The one-off live event will feature performances of songs from her album, a conversation with Charli and a DJ set with special guests. All proceeds from the ticket sales will go towards the LA Alliance for Human Rights, which comes up with ways to change the trajectory of the homelessness crisis on skid row and raises funds for legal fees and research into the issue.

how i’m feeling now, which is nominated for this year’s Mercury Prize, is the follow-up to Charli’s 2019 self-titled album. Last month, she announced a new Bradley&Pablo-directed documentary titled 6ft Apart that gives a closer look at her process creating the new album and life in quarantine.

Charli XCX’s how i’m feeling now event will be live-streamed via Boiler Room on August 13 at 6 p.m. EDT. Tickets for the show are $5 USD each.

In other music-related news, the Flatbush Zombies and James Blake have teamed up for a new single and music video titled “Afterlife.”
