AceShowbiz –Chris Brown and Jordin Sparks treated their fans to a heartfelt reunion. Fans of the RnB singers were left in tears after they performed their 2008 hit song “No Air” for the first time in 15 years.
The duo brought on the nostalgia on Saturday, August 27 when they belted out their collaboration at Chris’ Las Vegas show during his “One of Them Ones” tour. At first, Chris performed alone. Then in the middle of the song, Jordin surprised the crowd when she stepped out on stage to sing with him.
Jordin turned to Instagram on Sunday to share a video of the memorable moment. “15 YEARS LATER: @chrisbrownofficial and I returned to the stage to perform No Air,” she wrote in the note accompanying the footage. “Thank you Chris for having me at the final stop of your ‘One of Them Ones’ tour, ended it with a bang in Vegas!!!” she added, before gushing over their fans as writing, “The crowd was lit!!! Loved hearing you scream every word of this song!!! My heart. [white heart emoji].”
Once the video was posted, Chris and Jordin’s fans were quick to respond with a lot of love in the comments section. “B***hhhhhh Chris Brown brought Jordin Sparks out to sing no air, I cried real tears,” one person commented, with another adding, “Now I’m crying [crying emojis],” and applauding the Arizona-born songstress for singing without any earpiece, “she sang No Air with no ear piece or anything omg the real talent.”
“Y’all better sang!!!” commented actress Yvette Nicole Brown. “Yasssss so legendary,” wrote singer/songwriter Candace Wakefield. Meanwhile, activist Dominick Thompson raved, “One of my favorite songs! Your voice is incredible!”
Fans also turned to Twitter to share their reactions. “JORDIN SPARKS CAME OUT TO CHRIS BROWN’S CONCERT TO SING NO AIR FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 15 YEARS IM NOT OK,” one user exclaimed.
Featured on Jordin’s platinum self-titled debut album, “No Air” was released in 2008 and peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song also earned Jordin and Chris a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals at the 51st annual Grammy Awards in 2009.
