Colin Firth’s wife Livia Giuggioli admitted to having an affair with the man she is accusing of stalking her.
The Italian film producer, who has been married to Firth since 1997, has accused an Italian journalist of harassing her with a “frightening” campaign of messages. According to People magazine, the 48-year-old has involved the police who are currently investigating her allegations.
55-year-old Marco Brancaccia has denied all allegations he has been stalking Giuggioli. The journalist claims she is lying because she wants to hide their personal relationship, which he claims went on from 2015 to 2016. Well, now it appears there is more truth to their affair or personal relationship than the public knew until now.
“A few years ago Colin and Livia privately made the decision to separate. During that time, Livia briefly became involved with former friend Mr. Brancaccia. The Firths have since reunited. Subsequently, Mr. Brancaccia carried out a frightening campaign of harassment over several months, much of which is documented. For obvious reasons, the Firths have never had any desire to make this matter public. The reporting this week on this case is understood to be the consequence of a leaked court document. This is greatly to be regretted,” a rep for both Firth and Giuggioli released in a joint statement from the couple.
As it turns out the man Colin Firth’s wife has accused of stalking her is actually a man she had an affair with. However, the man is not taking her allegations lying down. Although Italian prosecutors requested Brancaccia’s indictment, he is standing by his innocence. He even responded to her claims, explaining what she calls harassment.
“My ‘stalking’ consisted of two messages via WhatsApp after she ended our relationship in June 2016, and an email. I wrote an email to Colin about my relationship with Livia, which I now regret sending, and she filed a complaint against me for stalking out of fear that I could go public with what she had revealed to me about her marriage and work,” said Brancaccia.
The case is still pending but it appears as though this is now a case of he said she said. Who do you believe?
