Flanagan, who joined the ITV soap in 2000, recently revealed she was anxious about giving birth after having a difficult birth with Matilda in 2015.

Sharing a picture of her with a newborn Matilda on Instagram, she wrote: “I do feel anxious about my labour with my baby now, but I’m hoping I’ll feel maybe a little bit calmer this time.

“For me I felt I worked myself up too much in my head about my labour, so I am hoping I can try and focus my mind more.

“I think all women feel nervous about their labour as it’s only natural. Just hoping for the safe and healthy arrival of my baby girl and blessed to be able to carry two babies.”

It’s my due date tommorow ❤️??? Throwback to my birth with my first born ? I don’t think my baby girl will arrive tommorow, I was eleven days late with my Matilda ?xxx My birth with Matilda was I think all around a positive one. I had a slow labour from having contractions on the Saturday morning and then being induced on the Sunday evening and having Matilda on Monday morning. I ended up having an episiotomy with Matilda but I had the nicest, kindest most supportive midwide and I felt as labours go my pain was really managed. I had an epidural, gas and air and pethidine. I do feel anxious about my labour with my baby now but I’m hoping I’ll feel maybe a little bit calmer this time. For me I felt I worked myself up too much in my head about my labour so I am hoping I can try and focus my mind more x I think all women feel nervous about their labour as it’s only natural. Just hoping for the safe and healthy arrival of my baby girl and blessed to be able to carry two babies ❤️x

Her exit storyline was recently aired on Coronation Street as she went on maternity leave.

After accidentally foiling a drug lord, Rosie made an appearance on This Morning alongside Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

After the interview, Rosie was approached by a modelling agent who offered her a job in Japan, working on a TV game show. Of course she took the gig and bid farewell for now to Weatherfield.

Congratulations to the new parents!
