Dwayne Johnson and Charlie Simpson from Busted exchange Twitter barbs

In news that we would once never have thought possible, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is now feuding with at least two out of three members of Busted.

And over Jumanji, no less.

Following last week’s teaser reveal for the upcoming Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle sequel, a fan shared the news with Busted and Fightstar member Charlie Simpson, who was less-than-thrilled.

Passing on the news to bandmate Matt Willis, Charlie predicted that Jumanji 2 (or Jumanji 3, depending on your feelings) will be “the second worst film ever made”.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson clearly caught a whiff of the beef Charlie and Matt were cooking and swiftly waded in, telling Charlie to stop “yapping on Twitter”.

“Haha I have a fun idea – how bout you watch it with us and tell us your thoughts. Then we listen to your music and we’ll tell you ours,” The Rock wrote.

“You know, face to face like real men do instead of yapping on Twitter.”

Guessing The Rock isn’t a Busted fan, then…

Charlie later replied to the comments (in a roundabout way) by responding to a fan’s comment on the thread that he’d “landed you in it”.

“Haha sorry to disappoint but I don’t do Twitter ‘beef’, it’s lame,” Charlie replied. “I actually think @TheRock seems like a really rad dude. Just wasn’t a fan of the movie. Subjective opinions and all that. Respect none the less.”

And as for Matt? Well, he just thinks The Rock is the best (don’t we all?):

Of course, the Jumanji cast needn’t be too worried about Charlie from Busted disliking their movie – after all, Welcome to the Jungle is now officially a “global juggernaut”.

Officially planting our JUMANJI flag. On DECEMBER 13th, 2019 – the game is not over. I hold JUMANJI very close to my heart and I’m beyond grateful you made our movie into the global juggernaut ($1BILLION+) it became. Can’t wait for you to see what our new adventure & new characters have in store as Christmas comes early. And once again, I get to slap @kevinhart4real’s lip’s into next week. The world is happy. #FearTheDrums #TheGameIsNotOver #JUMANJI DECEMBER 13th, 2019
