Jordin Sparks gives birth to her first child and shares an adorable picture

Jordin Sparks has given birth to her first child.

The singer announced today that she and her husband Dana Isaiah had welcomed their son Dana Isaiah Thomas Jr on Wednesday (May 2).

“He’s here & we couldn’t be more in love!!! Go DJ! 💙🦋 @people” Jordin captioned an adorable Instagram picture of their new arrival.

Dana added on his own page: “If you only knew how much daddy loves you! 🗣😩👶🏽🖤”

Jordin told People of the birth: “It was miraculously beautiful.

“Dana caught him with my midwife, Simona, and when he handed him to me, I was absolutely overwhelmed with joy. He was and is everything we imagined.”

She added: “I’m feeling pretty good! I am so grateful for my husband and amazing team at the Natural Birthing Center. I don’t think I would be feeling this great without them!?”

DJ was born at 9.04pm at the Natural Birth Center & Women’s Wellness, Los Angeles and weighed 8 lbs. 4.5 oz.

Jordin, who previously had a three-year relationship with fellow musician Jason Derulo that ended in 2014, married Dana in July 2017.

IT’S A BOY!!! We have so much to be thankful for and this is definitely at the top of the list! @_danaisaiah’s gonna have a little mini me running around! We can’t wait to meet him. We love you lil man! 💙💙💙💙

The couple confirmed five months ago that they would be having a boy, having a gender reveal party for family and friends and making a public announcement via Instagram.
