Katie Price deems son Harvey’s weight ‘life threatening’ as he sheds a stone

Katie Price has admitted that her son Harvey’s weight is “life threatening” – despite him shedding a stone through healthy eating and exercise.

The glamour model opened up to her followers about Harvey’s progress as she showed a video of her son tucking into a plate of chopped carrots.

The 20-year-old is diagnosed with Prader Willi Syndrome, autism and blindness, and currently weighs in at 28 stone, down from 29.

The condition causes constant hunger, which can lead to obesity and other health complications.

The gushing mum has updated her fans on Harvey’s progress, telling them: “I'm so proud of Harvey he has lost a stone now and his college are doing amazing trying to keep him active and healthy eating as it's now become life threatening with his weight #lovemyson.”

A source previously told The Sun of Harvey: “He's been on a new weight loss diet, Katie's working with experts and Carl has built a gym in the garage and has been going on walks and doing gentle exercise with Harvey."

Katie’s representative added that Katie headed to the local farm trade to buy eggs for Harvey’s breakfast to provide a healthy start to the day, adding: “Katie kick-started Harvey’s weight loss and has made specific changes in diet and lifestyle.”

The OnlyFans star herself confessed to OK! that Harvey “knows what he does and doesn’t want” when it comes to food, and said she was forced to keep the kitchen cupboards “empty” to help his progress.

She told the Loose Women panel: “I think he's actually lost weight because when he's in the actual household, I've said before, he's quite disruptive in the night because he goes in the cupboards and eats the food – that's his Prader-Willi Syndrome.

"But in that house, I don't put anything in the cupboards that he can get, so he can't have a snack in the night because there's nothing there for him to snack on! I think he has lost weight."

The mum-of-five dubbed his syndrome a “cruel illness” and said she “doesn’t want to lose him” in a poignant statement.
