Relatives of Christina Grimmie have shared a touching song online to mark America’s Mother’s Day holiday this weekend, May 13. The musician, a former contestant on “The Voice“, was shot and killed in a targeted attack that followed a performance in Orlando, Florida on 10 June, 2016.

Her grieving loved ones previously released the posthumous single “Invisible” in February 2017 to establish a memorial fund in Christina’s name, and a day before the first anniversary of her death, they unveiled her album, “All Is Vanity”.

“It is very special to me and carries a part of not only Christina but our unique bond. I miss her daily and I take comfort in knowing that this song might help other mothers and daughters through their fearful or tough times,” she added.

A portion of proceeds from the song’s sales will benefit the Christina Grimmie Foundation, which aims to provide support to those affected by gun violence or breast cancer struggles.
