Listen: Twenty One Pilots Unveils Two New Songs ‘Jumpsuit’ and ‘Nico and the Niners’

Both songs are going to be included on the band’s upcoming fifth album ‘Trench’, which documents the life of Clancy who lives in a walled city called Dema.

After a year of silence, Twenty One Pilots is finally back with not only one, but two new songs. The alternative rock duo premiered “Jumpsuit” and “Nico and the Niners” on Wednesday, July 11. Further treating their fans, they also released a music video for the former song.

The second song, "Nico and the Niners" is an upbeat tempo track with dark undertones. Nico is the name of one of the nine bishops that rule over Dema. The song itself features Tyler revealing that everyone is safe from the bishops if they wear their jumpsuits. "I'm so high, my jumpsuit takes me so high/ I'm flying from a fire, from Nico and the Niners, oh," he sings.

Both songs are going to be included on the band's upcoming fifth album "Trench". The album will document the life of Clancy, who lives in a walled city called Dema. The city is ruled by nine bishops who work to keep the inhabitants of Dema inside its wall. With the guidance of a group called 'banditos,' Clancy eventually escapes.

"Trench" will make its way out on October 5. In support of the album, Twenty One Pilots will embark on a world tour which will kick off on October 11 in Nashville and run through March 17 in Lisbon, Portugal.
