The late Love Island star Sophie Gradon’s boyfriend Aaron Armstrong has died just three weeks after the reality star’s own tragic passing.
It was Armstrong who announced the heartbreaking news on June 21 that Gradon had died, and memorialised her on social media last week after laying her to rest in a private service.
Sky News reports that police in Blyth in Northumberland had confirmed Armstrong’s passing on Tuesday afternoon (July 10), but were not ready to discuss a cause of death.
A police spokesperson told the news outlet: “At around 12.20pm on 10 July, police received a report from the ambulance service that a 25-year-old man had been found deceased at a property on Furnace Road in Bebside, Blyth.
“There is not believed to be any third party involvement and a report will now be prepared for the coroner.”
Armstrong had honoured his relationship with his “beautiful angel” Sophie Gradon on Instagram on Monday (July 9), writing: “Not a minute goes by with out (sic) your gorgeous smile being a picture in my mind everyday we spent together was so amazing.”
Following Gradon’s death in June, her family released a press statement appealing for privacy as they continued the grieving process.
“It has been one week since we lost our precious daughter, and we as a family are still coming to terms with our sudden loss,” her loved ones said.
“Our hearts are broken. We wish to say our goodbyes to Sophie in private, so we ask that you respect our family’s privacy during this arduous time.”
Love Island paid tribute to Sophie on-air hours after her passing, dedicating that night’s episode to her “in loving memory”.
